This is a new blog that our parish is in the process of setting up. It is our hope that through this blog, we can somehow touch the lives of our parish youth, enrich their spirituality and help them be more Christ-like in their everyday lives.
Please do post your comments today. What would you like to see in this blog? What topics would you like to see discussed? What ideas do you have that you feel will allow us to reach more people with God's message of Love? Let us know today. We really would love to hear from you.

hey wally, when and where do I start?
WOW!! I get to leave the FIRST comment. My husband and I came to Loerrach, Germany, from Australia to plant an English speaking Church for non Christians. We have been here 6 months and are just beginning the process.
May your youth be excited about being followers of Jesus. If you want a good read "Just walk across the room" by Bill Hybels. Released this year. Practical way of doing evangelism - and we can ALL do it.

Terry, email me your post to editor@parishworld.net and I will do it for you.
First off I'd like to begin with a greatful heart for all the people who took time to do this. Further more the subject of how we can better help the youth of tomorrow or even better the youth of today. In all honesty I believe we must begin during the CCD years. I would say that is one of the most critical times to reach teenagers, to plant the seed if you will. I am a product of the ccd program and sadly enough I must say that I did not learn much about my faith, but I did appreciate those who voluntered there time. I understand that we are not a rich community and can not support to pay real teachers, but we must work our best to find those qualified. These are such critical moments for the youth and if no one teaches them at a young age the value and worth of the Eucharist, by example then they will never learn to appreciate our Lord truly present body blood soul and divinity within the host. Our CCD program is need of reform, the catholic school system at one point in America was the envy of others, we must return to that where we give our children the best possible formation in this world we are living in, if not we will have many parish kids going through a program to recieve the sacraments, unknowingly of what they really are...as a community we must work together to give the youth a better chance of serving the church tomorrow....we must know God, to love Him, and love him to serve HIm. We cant tell children to love and serve God, when they do not know Him in all his majesty and glory...
